Scrum Master

We are currently seeking a Scrum Master to join our team.  The Scrum Master will be an integral part of our Development and Client Services teams and will push the Agile mindset and scrum framework to ensure our teams are delivering against their metrics and goals for product development and project implementation. This team member will provide all support to teams using a servant leadership style. The Scrum Master will need to be able to anticipate, identify, and remove blockers that may cause milestones to be missed, budgets to be exceeded, or clients to be dissatisfied with our products or services.  Most importantly, the Scrum Master will help us drive efficiency, quality, and world-class customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities included but not limited to

  • Facilitate daily scrums, weekly planning meetings, and weekly retrospectives
  • Guide and coach the scrum teams and the organization on Agile/Scrum practices and principles
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for improvements in processes, communication, team dynamics, documentation, and other items that impact quality, efficiency, and team member engagement
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and solutions can be created as a team
  • Coordinate with Project/Product Owners and Service Delivery Managers to ensure sprint commitments align with project/release plans
  • Maintain quality and accuracy of our Agile tool
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports to facilitate resource scheduling, project scheduling, and inform hiring needs
  • Generate and share data to show upcoming client milestones, team capacity, workload, and team assignments if requested

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent
  • 1- 2 years of experience in an agile environment required, additional team management in areas outside of product development experience preferred
  • Scum Master certification preferred
  • Experience being Scrum Master on multiple teams preferred
  • Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum preferred
  • Track record of leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, change management, and continual improvement
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively with limited guidance when necessary
